I don't mean to throw it in anyones face but I love it when people get cocky and then this happens.

I think this will be a great game. Nothing makes me more uneasy than playing at Wasco. In my four years of mountain football for teams that I was on we won 4 ssl titles all four years and only lost two league games all four years. Both those games were played on Wascos field. That field brings up bad memories. But these Tehachapi kids are the real deal. We spanked Wasco last year and I think they had inexperience with a lot of young players in the trenches for both sides of the ball which was a huge factor. Now that all those kids have a whole nother year under their belt this game will be close. I won't make a prediction. All I can say is never count either of these teams out they both mean business. Go Warriors!

If he's not going to start on the Varsity is it better to stay down and play or work with the Varsity for next year.
Heres a good scenario. This past season for Tehachapi, during the summer, we had a QB battle between a senior and a sophomore. The sophomore didn't start a game, and he really didn't play much when the game was on the line besides the first couple games. I think coach wanted him on varsity to keep pushing the senior and keep the pressure on him. It seemed to help a lot and made the senior play much better. He may not have started but that sophomore is a heck of a player and contributed a lot to our team even if it didn't show that much on the field.

is the fresno bee all star team the same as the all valley team? and if so do 1st  and 2nd team get all valley patches for the lettermen jackets?
No All-valley is a fan voted team that doesn't really mean anything and its all of the central section. The Bee is just the Fresno area and patches are distributed by the schools so it depends on whether or not your school makes them. My school only makes them for all-league.

Was gonna say, who is he.  I live in bako and still missed him.  I tink what college did he go to.

I know long snapper is a specialty position, but i have never heard of any rating service ranking national long snappers.  Please clarify that comment for us curious folk.
They have long snapping camps and what not. Chris Sailer is the guy that does the rankings I think. Just like he does punting and I think kicking.

Im confused too now.  Freshman Long snapper means LAST YEAR he was the best long snapper in the country while in HS?  They have stats in HS for long snapping?
Last year as in for the 2009 season. Hes a true freshman at Oregon.

What school did he go to?
Tehachapi High School. Even though he was the #1 long snapper in the country last year he probably could have went to a D2 school as a linebacker in my opinion. He started three years on varsity at guard and for two at linebacker. He made all-area last year for both sides of the ball. Probably the most dedicated guy I've ever played with. Heck of a player.

Drew Howell will also be in the championship game. Freshman long snapper :D

I think all of them were on the field at half time.  Only a few of them went back to their seats.  I thought it was pretty neat - but was surprised they were allowed onto the field.  Was that new, or have the always done that human tunnel thing?

That wouldn't happen in Clovis.
They started it last week at the Garces game. Theres nothing like Tehachapi fans in my opinion.

On a different note. SJM was the toughest team we've faced all year. I didn't think it would be so tough. That was the best d line I've faced in my life. Most the time I line up against quick little guys or big chubby guys. These lineman weren't fat but they're weren't little. They had MUSCLE. I didn't think I'd see a better line than Garces, or Taft last year. Its real tough to block when the guys actually have strength to push back with. Great linebacking core too.

Anyone could have won that game. I have a lot of respect for SJMs program after not really knowing them a week ago. Heck of a game. Haha and you guys are really funny with the pictures. God bless

I can tell you Brock (Orange Shirt in Front) and Winston (Red Shirt with the 'W' in Front) are both going to be Seniors this year.
No I'm not talking about the guys in the picture. I'm talking about the players at this camp.

They are all still playing high school football. A lot of kids who wouldve put up rediculous numbers didn't participate in Passing Down this year, probably because they already have offers. Kendall Brock and Robert Johnson would've destroyed those bench numbers. Bigelow, even with his knee, wouldve ran somewhere in the 4.35 range in the 40. I've seen him race BJ Kelley (4.43) a couple times this summer and consistently beats him by a few body lengths. The 2011 class of athletes is very very special in the valley, we are all lucky in that we get to watch these guys play. I bet we have 25+ guys that will play college football.
Well yea I was asking because I'm going to be a senior this year. I can destroy those bench numbers and I don't really consider myself that strong compared to the rest of the valley. I'm not even the strongest kid on my team.

Are these all underclassmen?

Independence also played the D3 runner-up, Porterville.....I would give P-ville the edge against CN last year.....
Yea I agree. Porterville came up on the mountain and beat Tehachapi. I don't think Clovis North would have had a chance. Just cause the score went higher doesn't mean they're a better team. Maybe CNs 2nd string is almost as good as their 1st string and Pvilles 2nd string is terrible. Or maybe CN left their 1st string in idk. You can't compare 2 teams by saying one blew out a team better than the other.

I'm not sure but I think their agents spot them all the money they need until they get signed. I mean its well invested money. Hes a player that has a lot of talent so its a sure deal that he'll get signed to he can pay the agent back. I'll bet some of the lower picks that have agents don't get spotted much from their agents.

Idk about the valley, but the only turf I've played on was Rhigetti down in Santa Maria. The funny thing is they're the warriors too. It was warriors vs. warriors
