Not taking another job, just time off to be with and help coach his kids.

What's up Clements!  Thanks!  Congrats on the Championship man.

I am surprised that all of these jobs are still open.  I would think you would want to get your guy early to make sure that he doesn't go to your rival school in some cases.  Any front runners for these jobs that anybody knows about?  The clinic tour is starting soon so it would be best to get in with the staff and get the ideas and the vision rolling.

When Buchanan first hired Jacot I believe it wasn't till March.

Wouldn't be surprised to see these jobs open for another month or two
Just my opinion, but my opinion is right

Open or not Buchanan and CN are filled.

is it a case of we HAVE to post it by law so we do but we have our guy picked out?

Jax

ET,
Is the Buchanan job supposedly going to an on-campus guy?

Yea I remember that.  Didn't they have to hire an AD before that?  My memory isn't all there but I think that is what happened.  I guess it hasn't been that long since the resignations and retirements it just seems like forever.  Is it spring ball yet?

I am curious who they have already have already since it is only the first day of interviews.  Someone has some inside info :-X

So D6 leads the pack with 4 openings.  Food for thought:

D1 + D2: 4 openings
D3 + D4: 3 openings
D5 + D6: 7 openings (1 filled)

Half of the new coaches will come from the "smallest" 1/3 of schools.  Not a good look for the sport as a whole.

It will be Gioradano.  Jacot was asked if he was ok with Buchanan putting him on as Co-head.  Obviously he was not.  If you ask me, it's a little bit garbage.  Wins the TRAC, wins a playoff game, has a pretty good year.  Well, that wasn't apparently good enough.

As CN goes, yes Steele is the man now.  I think we all pretty much expected that.

It's that way every year, that's what made guys like Casanova at Caruthers so special.  D5-6 has massive turnover at every school.  It's a huge challenge to try to coach at that level.  A very small drop in talent is devastating when you only carry rosters between 19-30 kids.

I find it hard to believe that Buchanan wanted a "Co-Head Coach".  Especially since they are both defensive coaches.  When has there been a successful co-head coaching situation??  I'm thinking that there was a little more to it than that.

two internal hires... no relocation costs.. no effect on staffing... I think it is pretty clear that the football budgets inside CUSD aren't what they were a decade ago...
