Tulare-Kings All-Star Basketball Game, Saturday @COS

Once again, the best basketball players in Tulare and Kings counties will face off.

After the former Tulare-Kings All-Star basketball games went defunct about seven years ago, College of Sequoias will host its own Tulare/Kings All-Star game Saturday.

The two games will pit teams made up of graduating players from local high schools.

The girls game is scheduled for 5 p.m. on Saturday's at COS' Porter Fieldhouse. The boys game will follow at 7 p.m.

In the girls game, the Kings County team will be led by a slew of players from Sierra Pacific, Hanford, Hanford West and Lemoore and will be coached by Hanford's Doug Pitkin.

The Tigers lead the way with three players, including Bobbie Henry, Taylor Vasquez and Jazmine Taylor. Playing for Hanford are N'Dea Jones and Ryalee Howard. Playing for Hanford West are Alaena Logan and Brittney Maxwell. Sierra Pacific will be represented by Selena Garza and Allyson Tolbert.

In the boys game, the Kings County team will be led by three players from Central Section Division II champion Lemoore.

Playing from Lemoore are Jaylunn English, Matt Borba and Allen Perryman. Hanford's Ju'Wuane Hughes and Cole Taber as well as Hanford West's Savion Johnson and Jameel Salaam are scheduled to play.

The Kings County team will be coached by Hanford West's Kenneth Gregory.
