1  Central Section / Baseball / Re: D1 Valley Championship on: Yesterday at 09:08:34 PM
I'd bet on Buchanan but I'm cheering for the Cougars. I'm going with a bunch of Clovis alums so inks of have to. My hatred for Buchanan baseball runs deeper than it does with Clovis. The Bears had our number more often than Clovis did when I was in high school.

We're definitely seeing him get PAID on Sundays....... Wink
He's started one game last season.
3  Central Section / Baseball / Re: D-1 Seeding on: May 17, 2015, 02:18:30 PM
first of all coach underwood and his staff has done a great job withthese kids.....if the kid did say something it doesn't mean that the coaches allow it!!!!!!  "I expect nothing less from Madera". ...WOW.....what a comment......

I never said they didn't do a great job with the program. But this isn't the first time a Madera athletic program has had a player act this way during the game.
4  Central Section / Other Sports / Re: CIF State Aquatics Championships on: May 17, 2015, 02:14:09 PM
The Clovis West girl's extended their state record of consecutive section titles to 19. The CW boys finished 2nd to Clovis ending their steak of 16 straight years. State championships are next weekend at Clovis West.

I know he excited about being a Bulldog ..but damn I'd hate to see him get shafted like the 2 previous players of the year that thought the same thing!!!
De-Committ while you still can!!!
Take the Dough!!
If he's drafted high enough he will never see Beiden Field.
6  Central Section / Baseball / Re: D-1 Seeding on: May 15, 2015, 05:43:18 PM
If you "heard" that it doesn't necessarily mean that it happened.  I wouldn't blast a kid that BLASTED a HR off of another kid that will probably be in the majors after next month!!!
Multiple people have said he yelled "f**k you" at the Central bench. I expect nothing less from Madera. It's not the first time it's happened with their program & it won't be the last. I'm surprised Andy Underwood & his coaches let it happen. And you have no clue how professional baseball works if you think Eastman will be in the majors next month. If he gets drafted high enough & doesn't go to Fullerton realistically seeing him in the majors is probably 4 or 5 years away. That's probably being generous still. Doesn't matter how talented the opponent is it doesn't give you the right to do what he did.
7  Central Section / Baseball / Re: D-1 Seeding on: May 14, 2015, 07:10:05 PM
Central did not shock Madera!!!!!!!    I think that Zamora actually shocked Eastman when he left the slider up. Zamora did what he does..........credit to both pitchers last night they showed up and definitely proved why they are at top of
the list in the valley.......one pitcher just made one mistake, and that was ......Feed the BEAST,,    Should be interesting in Tulare on Friday...
I heard Zamore also decided to shout some nice things at the Central dugout. Real classy.

13  Central Section / Central Section Football / Re: No more Redskins???? on: May 10, 2015, 11:31:48 AM
I might try to get my hands on some Chowchilla gear & wear it. Can you be offended by someone who's half Cherokee wearing something that says Redskins on it?
14  Central Section / Baseball / Re: D-1 Seeding on: May 10, 2015, 11:28:15 AM
LOL and your semi-annual (every major sport, it seems) picking against Bullard continues. I chuckled when I saw that.

On another note, the CIFCS.org site is again shutting down because their servers can't handle the bracket-seeking traffic. They have to get their stuff updated. It's not that tough...
It was going to be you saying something about me picking against Bullard or someone else saying I have a North valley bias.

"The name "Chowchilla" is derived from the Native American tribe of Chauchila (the spelling is inconsistent in reference guides) Yokut Indians which once lived in the area. The name itself evidently translates as "Murderers" and is apparently a reference to the warlike nature of the Chauchila tribe. The Chauchila Indians were inadvertently responsible for the first white men "discovering" Yosemite Valley, which occurred when the Chauchila Indians were being pursued by a band of whites."

Man..., the possibilities are endless.  I'd go with Indians.  Or Injuns.  Or Tribe.  Keep it simple and historically accurate.
Chowchilla Murderers

Tulare Western split wit CW early this year. I'm not sure if that'll play a big factor in seedings or not.
18  Central Section / Baseball / Re: Playoffs on: May 06, 2015, 01:35:02 PM
Worst case scenario for the Cougs to be a 5 and Madera a 4.   Travel to Madera followed by the Bears in the Semis.  Would like to see Clovis with the 3.  Deserved and much smoother route, not discrediting Centennial.
Isn't the best case scenario for Madera to be co champs with Edison or Bullard?
19  Central Section / Baseball / Re: Playoffs on: May 05, 2015, 02:40:28 PM
I don't think that the CMAC champ or Tulare Western are guaranteed to be ahead of the 2nd or 3rd place teams. 1 & 2 are set unless Buchanan loses to CN twice.
20  Everything Else / College and Pros / Re: How Is Your Team Doing In the NFL Draft? on: May 02, 2015, 09:18:20 AM
I'm fine with the 49ers taking Armstead in the first round. I haven't ever seen Quaski Tartt play. So I comment on him much. I don't understand why they'd draft a outside linebacker in the 3rd when they lost two inside linebackers to retirement.  Unless they're planning on converting him. I really wish they would have drafted Kendricks in the 2nd or 3rd. If they pick a receiver today I wouldn't mind seeing Rashard Greene or Josh Harper taken. If they plan on getting another DB I'd love seeing Derron Smith either.
