As Americans I feel like we should worry more about the stupid wanna be gangsters in Chicago, LA & NYC that are killing innocent children. That's my two cents about this.

I've been with EECU since I've opened my checking account when I was very young. I have had no issues. I write down every transaction I make using my debit card. I have one credit card that I've had for three years & I might have used it five times.
4  Central Section / Central Section Football / Re: Support Coach Justin Garza bone marrow Registry on: July 13, 2014, 02:22:47 PM
Bone marrow donation is probably the most painful donation someone can do. But it's worth it. In some case it takes up to a year for a donor to not feel side effects from the donation.

I was late to work because of the traffic on Friant.

I bought.a 20 ticket in Vegas at 60-1 4 weeks ago bet ting on this possibility.   Odds are now 4-1.   Thumbs Up
I'm not a gambler but I am assuming that you get the money based on the 60 to 1 odds. $1,200 isn't bad.
7  Central Section / Baseball / Re: Buchanan grads in the Pros on: July 12, 2014, 01:24:03 PM
well baseball cube does list Moranda as well as Darrah former CW- Fowler and FPU as being recently released to explore other opportunities... Be Proud gentleman ...
I thought that Darrah was doing pretty well. It's kind of interesting. Maybe they didn't see the sacrifice of enduring tough minor league baseball season worth the long shot that it would be for them to make it to the majors. Former Buchanan & Fresno State outfielder Brennan Gowens was released recently by the Angels.

usually when they are released it says released IE look at Alan Ahmady's or Marquise Cooper's web page...
One of the big reasons for Ahmady's release was because of his two suspensions for banned substances. Both times he tested positive for Adderall.
11  Everything Else / College and Pros / Re: World Cup on: July 01, 2014, 01:06:19 PM
I always watch the World Cup but other than nothing else soccer related for me. The Americans are definitely the toughest team. You don't see them flop. You have to respect that. Clint Dempsey was kicked in the face & had his nose broke agaisnt Ghana. He played the rest of the game & there wasn't a dramatic dive like the Italians, Spaniards & Brazilians would have done.

Here is a funny commercial advertising NBC showing games from the English Premier League.

Here is a Key & Peele World Cup sketch.

Interesting in Maxpreps they list him as batting .349.  I know some of the coaches load in their season stats after the season is over.
Maxpreps isn't a great way to look at stats. Not many coaches in the Valley use it.
13  Everything Else / College and Pros / Re: ....obviously we have the best fans in the world..... on: June 30, 2014, 08:19:33 AM
I'll probably get flamed for this, but always kind of liked the Raiders because of their fans... loyal to the very end and love the costumes they wear.... the hoods I don't think really are the Raider Nation and would be hoods at Rams or Niner games, a hood is a hood.  Used to wait every year on draft day just to see who crazy Al was going to pick first... never a dull moment with the Raiders.... hope young Carr does well for the Raiders, they could use a lift.
I agree.

I know a few Raiders fans who can make a case for them having the best fans in the NFL. One of my friends has had season tickets for a while now. He goes to San Diego to watch them play & then he goes to another road game every year too. Last year he went to watch them play the Jets. He already bought tickets for their game in Seattle. He's heavily involved with the Raider Nation local groups. It's kind of funny that the most well behaved Raider fans are usually the guys dressed up all crazy. It's the guys just wear jerseys you have to watch out for. I thought about going to the 49ers/Raiders game in Oakland this year but as a 49er fan that wouldn't be too smart.

They are going to wear down teams with speed obviously. That simple
Edison & Central having speed is nothing new! Just like them losing in the playoffs is nothing knew. How many years has it's been since Edison played in a D1/Large school championship? Central has been to one d1/Large school championship & they lost that one. A lot of these guys are worried about their D1 offers. I like the guys like Jordan Brown, Trenton Barnes & Silas Nacita who are football players. Yes they're playing at the D1 level now or might be next year but they're team guys first. That's the players you need on your team to win a championship. I'm not saying all the players from Central & Edison over the last few years have been selfish players. Because that's absolutely not true. But a lot of them are. Micaiah Quick from Central is a great example of a team guy who seemed like he put his personal aspirations second to his team. But I think these two schools have taken steps in the right direction with Garza & Johnson running things.

Every year it seems its supposedly Edison's yr or Central's yr. They always ALWAYS lay an egg. Being a Central grad, It was never about theTEAM, its all about ME,ME,ME! I see and hear the same about ET.  Thats why neither school will win it this season. Strong O or D wont matter. Look at the teams they've had. Some MUCH better than what they will put on the field this season, they couldn't win with those teams. What would change now?
I'm just waiting for someone to mention how bad CW has been. That's usually the resonance I get every year when I say what you said. It's the truth. Some can't live with.
18  Central Section / Baseball / Re: MLB Draft on: June 23, 2014, 08:48:25 PM
I know this is about this years draft but I didn't want to start a new topic. Former Centennial & Fresno State outfielder Dusty Robinson was released by the A's today. He was playing for the Stockton Ports in High Class A. He was hitting .230 with 8 home runs. I'm wondering if the 68 strikeouts compared to the 24 walks has anything to do with it.

From the looks of it, the people who died never suffered.  Can't say the same for the drunk driver.  His life is ruined, and he will die a slow agonizing death.  He'll probably regret not dying instantly like the others.
While that is true every ounce of pain he feels the rest of his life is well deserved.
