Just saw this article from the Fresno Bee. Congrats to the Cougars. It's nice to see the valley getting some praise nation wide.

They've been getting national recognition long before this article. TOUGH program, great coaches, ,dedicated kids. Tirappeli defiantly knows the winning program. :D Clark is probably one the premiere jr highs in the nation also.

I had the night off so I thought I would checkout the dual against Clovis West. Clovis is obviously #1 in the state & CW is #4. They're dominating CW right now. It's amazing how good these guys are. Would it be a shock if Clovis didn't win state this year?

Clovis wins running away.  No one will be with in 50 points.  At least.

No big surprise Clovis wins their fourth straight state title. CW finishes second. Their highest finish since the 1989 state championship team.

What's scary is that Clovis easily wrestled their worst tournament all year and blew everyone away.

Clovis West wrestled very well and would probably win most state tournaments!

Central Section, as has been the norm, far outperformed the rest of the sections.

State tournament is such a grind. Clovis had the worst team they've put out in a loooong time and still killed it at state. Fun to watch them wrestle. Nevills topped it off with a pin in the finals. Blair would be the most dominant HS wrestling team in the nation easily. Clovis is top 5 for sure. CW is is gonna go thru it for a yr or 2 then they should be reloaded again and hopefully make a run for state.
