Justin Garza coaches football for Central High School (Central Grizzlies Football) in Fresno, California. He is a two-time cancer survivor after being initially diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma in 2010. Coach Garza is now out of remission and is in need of a bone marrow transplant.

The bone marrow donor drive will be held August 29 at Deran Koligian Stadium from 5 PM to 9 PM. The date also happens to be Central Football's first home game. Participants interested in being a donor will undergo a cheek swab and their HLA (blood antigen) type will be entered into a registry bank in order to find a pairing. HISPANIC DONORS ARE NEEDED

I'm listed on the bone marrow registry. If I'm a match, I'd be more than happy to be a donor.

Bone marrow donation is probably the most painful donation someone can do. But it's worth it. In some case it takes up to a year for a donor to not feel side effects from the donation.
