What did you state as cause?

"I travel through a historically bad area of town to get work, often at night. While I will not carry at work, it is not uncommon to to observe unfavorable people in the area. I also occasionaly carry up to a few hundred dollars in cash, as I buy auto parts for my wife's 1966 mustang, sometimes at an auto parts store, and sometimes from people from online ads. I also enjoy camping and the outdoors and it is not uncommon to have poor to no cell phone reception or be in areas that would have delayed emergency response time. In the event I'm confronted with a violent person or crime, I would have no way to defend myself."

I've heard they dont really care about the recreation stuff. Mainly work related.

Mine was....
"I carry large sums of cash to and from the bank. I'm also responsible for procurement of goods for business with cash. These goods are located in close proximity to homeless encampments and poverty stricken high crime neighborhoods. Most of the time I'm alone and out of view of cameras while loading goods that have considerable street resale value. This makes me a high profile target statistically. I also transport these goods at varying hours of the evening and night along secluded industrial areas. Cell phone service is also unreliable in these given areas and response time from law enforcement could be up to 40 minutes."
Poor people have voted DEMOCRAT for the last 50 years.....GUESS what....they are STILL POOR.

Thing of a beauty right there. Thought about putting I run money for my dads company but since I'm not technically an employee for him, wouldn't know how that would work.

Law enforcement will give more weight to job related risks, than personal recreation (voluntarily assumed) risks.  If you can weave that in, it should help.

Or, just come to Fresno.  We pass them out here.

Use THIS:

"I carry large sums of cash and methamphetamine through high crime/high poverty areas and deal with unsavory clientele on a daily basis as part of my routine business."

In Kern County they'll fast-track your CCW!! LOL!!!

has anyone gone through the appeal process?

izne1home

My guess is that your initial application was rejected by a low level processor.  Filing an appeal probably means it gets kicked up for a second look.  I would ask for an interview as part of the appeal.  Your application will carry more weight when they can look you in the eye and size you up as a citizen.

Clovis North has all the money now.  Better to take Teddy and tell the police you don't know him but he stalks you wherever you go.
