Boise State threatens to sue Clovis North over helmet logo?

Let's believe it isn't so... that must be a joke... Really?   Maybe they just suggested it would be a good idea to make a change...

The Broncos have a new logo this year, the 3rd one in four years. This one should stick, though I would have loved to see the original "Horseshoe" back again. But then the Indianapolis Colts might sue them...  ;)

Old, New, Newest... I like it. The Broncos are getting up to speed. Black and Blue scrimmage tomorrow @ 11am.

Why do they use costly new sterile needles to give a lethal injection? Really. Just save the same friggin' needle.

I like the horseshoe...had one on the back window of my car...youngest just peeled it off the other day...he brought it in the house and said:  Sorry, Mama, I'm a Chieftain.  haha

The university of Texas gave an "incentive" to the school my cousin went to down in San Diego not to use the Longhorn logo on school property any longer. They have 3 years to phase it out. :d:
Coach- " So they're gonna let you run the ball this year huh."
Player-" If they wanna win they will."

so what's the University of North Carolina going to say about the new logo, how will the powers that be up on Chapel Hill react to the new logo? Does the NCAA's power reach so far that they can tell high schools they have infringed upon trademark regulations? I wish this would have happened with CW, I'd like to see the NCAA try their luck against izne, theanthill and the rest of the CW boosters...now that would be a heavy weight bout for the ages!

The CN logo isn't exactly like the UNC logo. But if it's true that major universities are suing high schools over similar logos then that's insane.

Gotta say that Bronco logo CN was sporting was an exact duplicate of Boise State, except for the blue eye. I don't know that the "sue" thing is true.
Could just be the "I heard" fallout regarding the logo change.

I was told by some very well connected people that the pressure to change the CN logo did NOT come from Boise State, but rather from none other than the FSU Bulldogs.  Apparently FSU muckety-mucks were tired of seeing the 'Boise Logo" on the rear window of every SUV in River Park.............

The horseshoe.  Not even a contest.

BHS needs a little help with their 70's helmet logos if there are any amateur graphic designers out there.

Say what?... Bu..bu..bu..but... huh?

Sure... ok... whatever the Dogs want, the Dogs get. I guess we shouldn't pee in our own pool, so to speak.

We as a community screamed and complained when Timeout looked like a giant chipmunk... So ok, it's not too much to ask I suppose.   :D

izne is this common knowledge or was I not suppose to say anything, but didn't CW make USC pay them royalties to use Cardinal and Gold?

They owed us royalties, but we didn't ask for money.  How do you think we got those cheerleaders at the booster parties?

TeddyKGB

Now it's all making sense... Notre Dame refused to ante up way back when so that is why they had to wear green and gold, Kern Union High would not allow them to wear Royal blue and white.

The Oilers and the NFL paid to have the Derek on their helmet until they mobed to Tennesee...that money still pays the announcers salary

I agree on that one... however, the current helmet logo already looks like it was done by an "amateur graphic designer".  Perhaps it is time to go for the professional.

there is no need to have a fancy helmet logo, they concern themselves more with designing Championship rings.

You guys left the door wide open. Teddy never, NEVER, misses the opportunity to play the trump card...

This hand goes to TKGB!  :u:

Ante up boys...

;) there is no need to waste time and exchange pleasantries when you can get right to the heart of the matter. This is what I try to explain to izne, but he insists on making small talk with the "dancers" in Cheetahs...

If I don't throw Teddy a bone every once in a while, he gets depressed.  When he gets depressed, he usually has a run in with his probation officer.  When he has run ins with his probation officer, he usually winds up in jail.  When he winds up in jail, he needs bail money.  When he needs bail money, he calls me.
