Is it too soon to talk about the upcoming year??  Who should we be on the lookout for and possible predictions??  I know Clovis will obviously be loaded again. Buchanan will complete at a top level as well as CN and CW.  Who has the best pitching to put them over the hump?  I hear Fontes is helping at Buchanan is that accurate?  Any Freshmen or sophomores that will make an impact this year?

If Buchanan doesn't run away with the TRAC, I will LOL

Don't think they are as good as last season, but have some key returns and are the most talented team.

Also, the fact that CN, Clovis, and CW lose so much goes into my factoring as well.

Come playoff time, though, anything can happen.

But I'd be shocked if Buchanan doesn't win the TRAC
Just my opinion, but my opinion is right

ROTFLMAO!  "Come playoff time anything can happen"? ...... "But they will win the TRAC"? .... Just in case the board gets amnesia, in 2012 when CW won the TRAC like a walk in the park but lost in the "playoffs" to a team they had beat 4 times ..... All Sixty said was 'ONLY THE VC MATTERS"

So lets not start with TRAC winner predictions. WHos going to win the Valley Championship? That's "all that matters" right? LMAO!

Sixtynine

Buchanan is going to be the best team this year

Anything can happen in the playoffs THO

I agree, only the VC matters. But I'm not arguing that.

Best teams win the conference, but anything CAN happen in the playoffs.

What's your point?

Whats my point? LMAO! When CW won the TRAC walking away in 2012 but didn't win the VC you were FAR from saying CW was the best team. Back then all you could say was that the best team is the VC winner. Of course we knew that CW was the best team in 2012 regardless of not winning the single elimination year end tournament ... I find it hilarious that now you say winning the TRAC defines the best. Flip / Flop is my point.

Not to disagree, because I do feel that winning the TRAC is the toughest body of work because you are playing elite baseball over a 15 game schedule. But here is a little known fact, in the last 10 TRAC baseball seasons, the TRAC champion has only won the valley twice. Buchanan in 2011 and Clovis in 2014.

CWClassof2007

They should have made the championship a best of three before they moved it to Visalia. Game 1 & 3 at the higher seeds field.

The TRAC Champ is always the best team. Sure, VC's matter more, but it's all about match ups and the hottest team at that point.

I think Buchanan will win the TRAC. I KNOW they will play each TRAC team 3 times and think they are better than each team and think they will win the most games in league play.

I DON'T know who they will be matched up with in the playoffs so I will not say they will win the VC...right now.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

That is a very interesting stat ... and only serves to prove that the VC is meaningless in defining the best team. As long as its single elimination it will be a definer of nothing!

CW should give the Bears a run.  Schafer could be the player of the year if he improves from last year.  Haros and Yoshida should contribute to their success.  Give CW 1-2 years and they may be really dangerous.  Tyler Ewell may play a bigger roll this year also.

Loeprich, Gambrell, Dodds, Krouse, and Ashford make them the team to beat.  Presno may be the starting catcher as a soph.  Buchanan should have a pretty good lineup and if kids like Zosky and Martinez can contribute they should be pretty successful.  Perreira will add a new bat to the lineup and he's my dark horse to help that team out.

I know CN lost a ton, but Patrick will have those kids ready to play.  Would like to hear form someone in the area who knows more than me.

Clovis is kind of a wild card here.  Stilson and Mitchell should be legit and someone told me Geiger may be coming out for the Cougs.  They should be solid on the hill with Mott and Whittaker 1-2.  Also hear they have a kid who can come off the bench and give a couple good innings.

It's kind of sad that Central & Clovis East are just after thoughts when talking about the TRAC. It makes me wonder how often they've finished 5th & 6th since Clovis North took the place of Madera. Madera had a coue pretty solid teams under Kevin Patrick.

Never too soon to talk baseball.  Jake Renteriea...Frosh at Buchanan.  Tall, lanky kid, throws hard...Keep an eye out for him.  Kennan Wolf, Frosh, Buchanan,  half horse/half human...Lookout for this kid too.

Keenan Wolf and Cole Hedrick 2 young studs I know of there.  Wolf was a pretty tough wrestler.  Too bad he's not anymore.

Those kids are the only 2 lefty arms in the Frosh group at Buchanan.

. This aggression will not stand, man!  That rug tied the whole room together!

He was at Madera for one year, and yes, his team was very solid, Co-TRAC champs.
We don't usually pick up hitchhikers... but I'm gonna go with my instincts on this one. Saddle up partner!
