QuoteGHF, like you I'd like to see a tougher nonconference schedule by all the BCS teams, but alas College football is a business and as you well know those cream puffs pay the BCS teams a pretty good amount to draw a crowd...its probablt why the Drillers still allow garces on the schedule

Teddy with this new coach from Servite he'll have the Rams ready up to Servite's level. lol! The sad part is that by the time they are competitive they will petition to move out of the SWYL and into another league and thus goes the cycle. Not quite ready for D1 SWYL but bring on those whipping boys- East, Highland, North, and Foothill. Oh boy we love that league.

I see th SWYL race being between the Drillers and Liberty again, Frontier and CHS will fight it out for 3rd and Stockdale and garces will bring up the rear.

Coach Gass will have the Rams ready to play hard & compete with every team they play - But it takes talent to win games - esp in that conference !! I'm not sure how much talent they have at Garces but I am sure that what they have will PLAY HARD & be prepared for each game.

I have no doubt that the kids will be ready under Gass, the issue will be talent. Will they have enough talent year in and year out to compete at the D1 level, I don't believe so.

Ochoa should compete for the starting spot, I didn't see anyone on JV that was better. Even with a Soph at QB the Drillers will be better than having no QB.

Like I said... Knock on wood.  After the loss to Edison, Hill took over as QB.  Hill was a beast... And did a remarkable job.  There is no Hill-caliber runner this year to pick up the slack.  BHS has tall receivers who can catch... I hope they can develop a passing game.

That shouldn't be difficult. The varsity had 0 passing game last year. Anything will be better. The JV team passed quite a bit.
