GHF, a cloud silence has befallen upon Wasco because their 15 minutes are up. Much like the other Johnny Come Latelies: Corcoran comes to mind. They believed that they had started a dynasty only to be struck back down to reality by the inevitable perils of graduation, transfers and the cycle of good athletes drying up.

GHF, like most Johnny C. Lately teams Wasco wanted to swim in the deep water, they wanted to go toe to toe with the Drillers and test themselves and they found out that beating up the Mira Montes and Golden Valleys of the world is not like playing against THE Mighty Drillers, they've never recovered from that. In fact the pride of, Wasco Kenny's sister-mom, was so ashamed that she up and moved her "mobile house" to Pond.
The story that will be told for generations of toothless inbred wascoites goes as such:

When the Drillers got done with the Bengal kittens they looked Prado, Pump and Southpaw in the eye; they said Well, you're pretty good ol' boys, but sit down on the hallowed ground of Griffith Field right there and let the Drillers show you how it's done...When the Drillers got done the boys from Wasco bowed their heads for they knew they'd been beat, they laid those silly orange T shirts on the ground of Golla's feet. The Drillers said, Wasco just come on back if you ever wanna try again, we done told you once—you sons of a @#$%*-we're the BEST that's ever been.

A decade is a drop in the bucket comapred with 100+ years of being the Best kid on the block...so compared to the Drillers yes it is a Johnny Come Lately. I won't try to compare Corcoran to the Drillers because it's not far, and I didn't mean to say that Corcoran's success is without merit.

Based on the film I saw, I wouldn't be boasting of the job that the Drillers did against the Tigers...  seems like one of those games you sweep under the rug and move on?  Or am I mistaken?

South, by that rationale one would believe that Kenny's sister-mom is doing "something right. But in all seriousness all the cr@p talkin', banter and repartee is in jest I think just about everyone that visits this site enjoys high school football, has tremendous respect for coaches and just wants to laugh and exchange ideas and the occasional verbal jab. Anyone that takes the banter here to heart has far greater issues. That being said, if moral victories and feathers in caps is what you play for you're probably not the Drillers... that sounds like Kenny and Izne bragging about having a threesome in a chatroom with "chicks" from other states.... The D1 State Bowl Trophy and D1 Valley Championship trophies are the only "feathers" the Drillers will ever chase!

Damn didn't know y'all was missin Big Papa like that... Teddy I graduated from Wasco but my boys are Drillers... So I have 2 dogs in this fight... I cheer for Wasco always but I am  Driller faithful now... I have no idea how the Tigers are gonna look at all... Im way more familiar with BHS kids these days... I was at the Wasco vs BHS game and it was closer than the score would indicate... Wasco was way more physical, continually blowing the Drillers off the ball... BHS simply out athleted Wasco... Speed kills! The Driller fans we were sittin by were impressed by Wasco... I was definitely proud of the Tigers... Wish they could've played a season earlier... Not saying Wasco would've won at all but it would've been more competitive for sure...
