Definitely think they are a heavy contender. We will see how they line up when they meet Kingsburg as I don't think Kingsburg is as strong then years past. Could be a good opportunity for them.

I think Mendota could be who they need to go through

good #2

Avenal - very young team, probably 1 or 2 years away as those young players need varsity experience.  Will battle with Tranquility for 5th place.

Coalinga - This years team is fast and physical.  Dangerous combination for the rest of the league.  With many seniors in key spots, this is my pick to win the WSL this year.

Dos Palos - How they pick up the pieces from the turmoil of last season will be the key.  They have talent, but will they come together when it counts?  This team could contend with Coalinga and Firebaugh for the WSL title.

Firebaugh - This team can score points.  Good running back and run threat at QB.  In the WSL, they will have the fastest player on the field and VERY good receiver in #5.  If they can play defense in league, it will come down to the final game of the season against Coalinga for the WSL title.

Mendota - I really hesitate to count the Aztecs out here, but this is not the same Mendota team of years past.  They are, however, big and do have a good running attack.  The key here is weather or not the kids in Firebaugh, Coalinga and DP can get past the Mendota persona.

Tranquility - Mark Oct. 13 on your calendar when the Tigers take on the Buccaneers for 5th place in the WSL.  This will be these two teams only chance for a win in league.

The WSL Title should come down to the final game of the season with Coalinga at Firebaugh.

I will go with the TOADS as they are very hungry. Their Defense is crazy fast and just as physical. They will beat you up!
The entire offensive line is back, bigger, faster and stronger. They have several serious weapons on the offensive side of the ball. If the TOADS stay healthy, I would expect them to make a serious run at the D5 Ship.

I guess I'm stuck on the old CSL.  Can't get over that Coalinga plays in the WSL.

Firebaugh probably has the best athlete in the league, Tyler Palmer on their team, but once teams figure out how to take away the deep ball, I don't think he will have as big an impact.  adding Defrancesco is beneficial.

Looks like Mendota rebounded against Roosevelt.  Question could be....Roosevelt overrated or Mendota back on track?

Ya I liked the old NSL (Coalinga, DP, WU, Kerman and CHOWCHILLA). Was a good league

As I mentioned in a previous post, the WSL will more than likely come down to the last game between Coalinga and Firebaugh.

Who you guys got?

Coalinga has the personal to mirror the Dos Palos defensive game plan, and the depth to sustain Offense.  I don't see this game being close, toads by 21+.
