The list is short and light this year... TRAC is down as is the whole area- Sean Mullen is NOT the best player in our section, that player is BROCK JONES....

Jones is an outstanding talent IF he is healthy enough to play.  Irregardless, I still like Mullen better "overall", which was my original comment, because he is outstanding on the mound, on defense, and with the bat.

I understand the hatred of the double negative currently but it was actually the more popular and considered the proper usage back in my day.  Apologies to the youngsters and grammar police.

Mullen throws hard yes, "OUTSTANDING PITCHER???" not sold- defense is efficient w/ raw athleticism- THE BAT IS LIGHT MY MAN! not even close the impact JONES has- SPEED- PWR- HIT- BASE STEALER- Kid can change the game... potential 5 tool player man. It is your opinion yes but question your background and history of the two players in conversation......

Mullen  .470/.550/1.360  12% strikeout rate....9-1  3.48

Jones   .338/.522/1.060   28 percent strikeout rate....0-0  0.00

I'm no Mike Brito, but I'm gonna disagree with your assessment of Mullen's "light" bat.

Baseball Mom

Personally I think you are wrong.  While Brock Jones is a great athlete,  the best player in TRAC is Brady Hormel.  Stats all show he was on the top.

Black_n_Blue

Brady has good numbers

Hormel .513/.656/1.170  8% Strikeout Rate

Those numbers are incredible anywhere but in the TRAC they are beyond impressive.

Jim Jefferies

I see your numbers but have seen both at high level events and were completely opposite on how they performed and handled the higher level competition. Mullen struggled with the bat & pitching was just ok- jones swung the bat extremely well, homering w/ consistent hard contact & played at a high level defensively. we will see how it all pans out but ill take Jones.....

JJ,
Judging by the baseball offers Jones has received, I think most D1 coaches agree with you too. This kid is the real deal 5 Tool Player.
