1  Central Section / Central Section Football / Re: CW Thursday Night Showdown on: Yesterday at 08:24:28 PM
Is Ralph Wood and Vince Wesson still calling the game?
I hope not. Anything that kmph does involving local sports is awful.
2  Everything Else / College and Pros / Re: Fresno St vs Spoiled Children on: Yesterday at 08:21:18 PM
All the Pat Hill faithful were loving it last night. But should probably realize that Fresno State wouldn't have two MWC championships if he was still around. Anyone who thought they were going to win yesterday is delusional. I think they could win next week but they'll get pounded on by Nebraska. Maybe football players from the valley just don't want to stay here. Has anyone thought of that? Or maybe it's the bandwagon fan base that is Fresno State football. Too many people expect them to be USC, UCLA or Stanford. We are not. Support the team & coaches even if they're not from here. Support them if they're 0-3 after playing a tough non conference schedule.

Ask Coach Josh. He probably knows. They best Merced 60-0 on Thursday.
4  Central Section / Central Section Football / Re: WEEK 0 on: August 29, 2014, 04:44:55 PM
Can we just start calling it week 1? Almost everyone plays this week & then has bye before league starts.
5  Everything Else / College and Pros / Re: Carr on: August 28, 2014, 10:11:23 PM
How many weeks does Schaub start? Carr was off the charts tonight. This coach will be 2nd guessing himself when the Raiders start 0-4.
I have a feeling Schaub will still be hurting going into next weekend & Carr will starry against the Jets. That's where the Schaub era ends in Oakland.
6  Central Section / Central Section Football / Re: Edison-Buchanan on: August 28, 2014, 10:07:55 PM
So is Edison overrated or is Buchanan underrated? Or were the Tigers thinking about next week? A little birdy told me that Buchanan's defensive backs would shut down most teams in the sections receivers. I didn't believe it. But he was right tonight.
7  Everything Else / College and Pros / Re: Yeah, Dad is Proud... It is official as of this morning!! on: August 26, 2014, 09:32:07 PM
Congrats Soaring & Trevor! I'm looking forward to watching him play this week.
8  Everything Else / College and Pros / Re: Arthur Ashe Award on: August 26, 2014, 09:30:57 PM
I want there to be a penalty called on Michael Sam & then the ref to say that he was "giving him the business". Does anyone else remember that call? I'll have to find the video.
9  Everything Else / College and Pros / Re: USC-Josh Shaw on: August 26, 2014, 09:28:31 PM
When I first heard the report that he might be lying I knew a certain UCLA fan would jump all over this. But as a Notre Dame fan this makes me feel a whole lot better about Manti Te'o.
10  Central Section / Central Section Football / Re: Tulare BHS Scrimmage on: August 26, 2014, 09:25:06 PM
In 2005, Hartigan ran the same play an entire scrimmage at FSU camp.  A few weeks later, they beat DLS.  You never know.
Yep. We were so confused by that. But now I understand why he did that.
11  Central Section / Central Section Football / Re: Top 20 most dominant Central Section football teams on: August 26, 2014, 09:23:02 PM
Where is Liberty-Madera Ranchos at on this list?  I know they are a young program but in the last 6 years or so they have been to 4 or 5 valley championships winning the last 2 appearances in 2012 and 2013 and a Semi-Final loss a few years back.  And with the program getting better and more dominate they should be at least number 20. Don't you think??
Read the previous comments. They made an error & put Liberty-Bakersfield when they obviously meant Madera Ranchos.
12  Central Section / Central Section Football / Re: Clovis West Scrimmage on: August 26, 2014, 09:21:18 PM
They'll have their work cut out for them on Friday. Merced is a tough team. Merced also has the pleasure of playing against Edison & Clovis North.
13  Central Section / Central Section Football / Re: Top 20 most dominant Central Section football teams on: August 22, 2014, 09:19:11 AM
Did Edison lose points for spiking the ball on 4th down in the 2004 playoffs against CW?
14  Central Section / Central Section Football / Re: Pagmeter football rankings. Link inside. on: August 19, 2014, 09:53:28 PM
No disrespect to CW at all but the only reason he has them at #5 is because he has a love for them and all Clovis schools! He was the same way when he was on espy radio. They could be 1-7 and he would still rank them and say how great they are.  Lemoore is kind of surprising considering they lost both starting RB and WR'S. all they did was give the ball to Doctor and let him run. we can all argue and have our own opinions but until the season starts no one will know anything. But we can all agree that Sept 5th Edison/ BHS will be one for the ages!!!!
I have a good idea who you are just based on that last sentence.
15  Everything Else / hsfan's Off Topic / Re: More Calif depression...how far a 100.00 goes compared to other states.... on: August 19, 2014, 09:52:31 PM
But what is their cost of living? I know many people who are scrapping by in California making less than $36K a year.
16  Central Section / Central Section Football / Re: Top 20 most dominant Central Section football teams on: August 19, 2014, 09:51:04 PM
it may be a poor choice of words, maybe top 20 most consistant teams would be a better word choice. But a team that in 10 years has not one a VC or been in the finals is far from the 3rd most dominant teams in the central section.
Teddy they obviously meant Liberty-Madera Ranchos.
17  Everything Else / hsfan's Off Topic / Re: Squeeze Inn Burgers Madera ... start in Sacramento on: August 19, 2014, 04:45:39 PM
I don't mind spending a few extra minutes on the treadmill or in the sauna.
18  Central Section / Central Section Football / Re: CLOVIS Football on: August 19, 2014, 04:41:54 PM
Clovis West will be scrimmaging at SJM on Friday. 5pm Freshman/JV & 7pm varsity.
19  Central Section / Central Section Football / Re: Top 20 most dominant Central Section football teams on: August 19, 2014, 04:38:46 PM
I feel like Clovis North shouldn't be on this list yet. If they have a championship game appearance this season then I think they're worthy.
