Interesting comments....would love to hear you expand on them.

Bullard shouldn't even be in the CMAC.  They are number one because they are the biggest and most consistent program in the CMAC.....Bullard ought to be in the TRAC.  Also, that REALLY big and good freshman team that Bullard had a couple of years ago is now moving into the varsity level, that doesn't always translated to a great varsity team  but they are going to have size and in the trenches that does matter.

Edison, Yes athletic, but disorganized AGAIN because of the loss of yet another head coach.  We saw how far all that athleticism took them last season.....didn't see a deep drive in the playoffs or anything like that.  With another new staff taking over second in the CMAC, at best...maybe third.

Sanger, TOUGH...always has been and always will be...especially if you pay them at their home field....great place to watch a football game.....Friday Night Lights in spades  Thumbs Up  I put them third because only because I didn't know how many seniors they graduated off this past season's team....if they didn't lose a bunch, they probably conntend for the second slot with Edison.  Sanger is also very well coached.

Madera, the other TOUGH team that is improving.  Believe they will have a solid team this year....don't know if they can beat any of the three top teams above, but bet they give them all a run for their money....could even upset one of them...good community following and a lot of team spirit....

Madera South, still in building mode and believe they remain in that mode for another couple of seasons.  Unless they have gotten an influx of really good talent at the varsity level I think they are at the tail end of the CMAC this year, but not losing by the margins they did last season....

SJM, the small school that keeps chugging along in a division they shouldn't even be in....they haven't exactly knocked the ball out of the park since they were forced into the CMAC by the CIF's dumb movement rules.  SJM isn't a DIV school any longer but they could compete consistently at the DIII level, maybe win a Valley title now and then....that is where I see them ultimately moving to.  Guessing the NYL is where they will end up.  If they can keep most of the young players from last year's team, they should make most of their games competitive, but as posted above, their lack of depth has hurt them in the past and don't see that changing this season....have heard rumors they are changing the offense, which IMO they should have done last year, but I'm betting they stay with a pounding run game mentality at the end of the day....that's been their philosophy and just don't see it changing....if they do move to a spread, read-option, or something along those lines it will be interesting to see if they can put it all together in one season...probably not as it takes time to move from one style of play to another and play the new one very effectively....

Would like to hear your take on this....good discussion  Thumbs Up
it's been confirmed they're going to a read option / spread.. Should be able to put it together in time for the season..they're a smart group of student-athletes

Grrr...AGREED!

It's not the same, but my mother n law got a ticket on 41 coming down from Coarsegold because she was going too slow.  If there are 5 or more cars behind you, and you are not going the top speed limit, ticket.  My husband gave her an orange triangle to put on the back of her mini van  Smile  But honestly, use the pullouts...that's why God made them.

I was with my uncle (by marriage) who was hauling livestock up 41 to Oakhurst. He was going about 20 mph and claimed that if he used a turnout, he'd lose his momentum (he just didn't want to).  So he didn't.  I've never seen so many ticked off people in my life.  My uncle was an old hard cowboy so when they'd manage to pass us, he'd start yelling at them before they could say much.

I guess he was used to it.  I was a nervous wreck.

New Pet Peeve:

People that drive in the left hand lane or any lane but the extreme right hand lane when they are NOT ACTIVELY PASSING someone.

If you are driving on I-5, Herndon Avenue, 99, the German Autobahn, or any road in the WORLD, let alone in CA, if you arent passing, and you arent in the furthermost right hand lane YOU ARE A SAFETY HAZARD and should be TICKETED.  Almost every state in the Union has that traffic law on the books, and now 22 of them actually have road signs stating that YOU WILL BE TICKETED.  The mindset of an individual that says IM going the speedlimit so i can do WHATEVER I WANT and IM STAYING IN THIS LANE mentality is absurd.   YOU ARE INTERRUPTING TRAFFIC and YOU ARE A SAFETY HAZARD.   Safety studies show that 100% of all 2+ car accidents occur when one car interrupts the flow or movement of another car.   If you are driving slow in the fast lane, and there is an open lane to your right, and someone rearends you IN EUROPE, then YOU are liable and can go to jail.  not the guy who rearended you.   Go figure.

Grrr...AGREED!

So who saw the box score from the CN@CW game? They awarded a save to a pitcher who got the last out in a nine-run victory? That's absurd.

Congrats to all the winners today and one more big congrats to Centennial coach Randy Roberts who will be retiring.  While I am sure it would have been great to win one more on the way out, he did a phenomenal job in his time at Centennial with 3 or 4 valley titles I believe and put a mark on a program by developing the roots and building a foundation for a more than quality program here in Bakersfield.  Good luck in the future to Coach Roberts and his family.
Thumbs Up His team was solid from top to bottom & played very good baseball yesterday vs Clovis !! Great job Coach & enjoy EVERY day of your retirement !! Cool

I didn't pay attention to the entries, but after looking thru them this morning I noticed
that Buchanan was not there.  It won't have any bearing on them winning the team title,
IMO.  They are really deep in the field events this year.

if i was anywhere near my computer i'd tell you for sure. anywho, see you in a few hrs!  heerrrreeee weeeeeeeeeee gooooooooooooooooo!!!!!

I see liberty with an upset over buchanan..if meadows gets past El D ,their offense is as advertised ..power all the way thru ..with alot of speed,  their defense is solid and should have sinnott ready to go (which is finally healthy)..he had a no- hitter his prevoius outing...

Those bats produced 6 runs in 2 playoff games
