Mitchel Boswell? Isn't he a little short to be a Storm Trooper...um I mean quarterback? Saw him recently and he didn't have much size to him.

I understand, all of the players in D4 are HUGE!

Well in this case it's D2 and they play some pretty tough D1 schools. I just hadn't heard his name in the mix, has he had any time behind center for El D?

First off, Teddy you would... Tongue

As for Clovis North, we have two all state sophmores coming back with Bolu Olurunfumi RB and Hayden Haupt OLB, in fact our entire linebacking corps is back with the exception of one senior. WR Tymon Locklin, and our entire DL is back except for one guy. Also returning most of the OL, so hopefully 2013 will be as good to us as 2012 was!!! Go Broncos  Thumbs Up
NICE WOOT WOOT  Very Happy  Thumbs Up I wanna move back

CMAC - Blake Wright & Kevin Nutt EHS the best 1,2 punch in the Valley. Both backs are strong and if they were the only back and getting all the carries they would go over 1500yds easily.

NSL- Javin Harrison WU went over 2000yds and 20 TD's. Was the most over looked back in the valley last year went over 100yds and a TD against KB and Ridgeview and last season was his first year starting.

Austin Cardoza from Exeter- This should be an interesting year since this group gave Dinuba a run for their money in 2011 as JV's losing on a last minute drive and finishing up 9-1. Exeter was young last season and most of the O line is back...bigger and stronger. Look for Cardoza to push for 2k yards this season.

To put that game in perspective. Some players that weren't on the field were Mcmariyon (injured), Michael Wright, Omar Duarte, Mich Perez , and David Padilla all of which have All CSL honors to their name (multiple in a few cases) Not to mention it was JV!!!

Yes and that same year Exeter had 9 sophmores up on Varsity...many of whom got All CSL honors as well.

I didin't mean to come off as being arogant or anything like that, but you really didn't need throw the JV team to justify how good Cardoza is. The kid is a really talented back, he plays a lot bigger than his size would indicate, has really good vision, and is very explosive. He will no doubt be on of the leading rushers in the section next year. Another junior to be to look out for is the kid out at BCHS...oh and of course Michael Wright  Wink

Seems like a grudge match is getting started for next year!!  Saw your Emporers play twice last year (great season) and all Exeter games (good season as well).  Both Wright and Cardoza will have successful years next season.  You're right.......JV season has nothing to do with a Varsity season.  You have the best QB maybe in the valley back and Exeter will run the ball successfully.  You weren't being arrogant, just as much protective of your team as Monarch Pride is of his following.  Don't forget to include the kid from Mission Oak (  Elijah Porchia, or even the freshman RB kid from Porterville.........forgot name) in this post of potentially best players to look for, as well as many others.  Please remember "ALL"............kids read these posts as well (found this sight from my own son).  Please don't belittle them on line (ELD QB).  This sight is great!  I look forward to great opinions and informative talk.  Good luck to both next year.....have great spring practices and successful summer programs!  dk

Not trying to belittle anyone... after all this is football and we talk about the positives and negatives of teams and individual athletes on here. I would never make anything personal, just sticking to the facts... he doesn't have much size and will be competing in a tough division. I hope he proves me wrong and has a great season. Robert Doughrty (Mt. Whitney 1991) didn't have much size and wound up having a nice career in football.

Good to hear and yes I agree, this is high school football with kids of all sizes, whether they are a 5'11" QB at ELD, 6'5"  310 lb. lineman at Central, or a 5'7" 145 lb. running back at Exeter, that are all being evaluated daily based on their football abilities, not their size; just like Robert Dougherty among hundreds of "undersized" central valley high school football players.  His success will be dependent on their run game, likened to Cardoza's QB at Exeter.  Run, run, run and throw when needed.  Good luck to both!!
