I have been playing/watching central section football since 1976.

I can not remember a team running through the playoffs like the Drillers just did.

Clovis West (TRAC)  21-44 (Running clock)

Central (TRAC)  6-45 (Running clock)

Clovis North (TRAC)  21-60 (Running clock)

I will restate what I stated in an earlier topic.  This team could be Golla's best team ever.  More speed, talent, and team chemistry.

The Offensive execution was good versus CW, but flawless versus Central and CN.  The Defense was good but not their best game last night but played very well throughout the playoffs.

Golla's fourth VC in his nine year career at BHS.  44% VC winner.  Not bad.

As we all know, next year is a new year.

Another great year of high quality Central Section football.

Merry Christmas to all.  I received my present last night.....

Yes I agree but those two loses to mediocre PAC-5 opponents will haunt them this year and keep them from a CIF Bowl bid. It just shows the weakness of Valley football. We have a very long way to go.

LB Poly is Pac 5,  Oaks is in Marmonte-West

I agree that the losses hurt.  But at least BHS ventures down to the South to play.

And they are hunting quality opponents.  Give CN their due...they did play SJB who could win the PAC-5 tonight.

Now this I agree! BHS is not just sitting around doing nothing. They are attempting to beef up their non-league schedule.

Sorry.  My bad.

Any team in CS that wants to be relevant must play teams from the South.  If they don't they are relegated to never having a chance to play in the Bowl games.  I know there are exceptions, but relatively speaking.  You get the point.

Definitely a dominating year for Bakersfield in the Valley Playoffs!!! However a very down year for central section football this year especially D1!!! Can't remember seeing such bad playoff teams ever before in my 20+ years watching valley football!!! Hats off to Bakersfield they handled business & they can't control who's on the schedule!!! They definitely made it look easy!!!
