OK... don't know if this should be here or in the college/pros section, but since this really has more to do with technology than the game itself... it's going here.

This is the third season I've purchased the "Extra Innings" package from DirecTV... it is the best...  but I was sorely tempted to pull the plug and buy the MLB TV package instead... it was about $100 less and includes the ability to stream all the games from your handheld device no matter where you are.... the difference is that in the house, I would have to stream games over the XBox, which is not on our main TV, so I'd get a Roku or Apple TV box for that room.

I called DirecTV ... told them that I could buy MLB TV for less... so they credited me $10 a month for a year..... brought my net cost down to below MLB TV

But here is the kicker.... the MLB TV "at Bat" application is now INCLUDED in the cost of Directv Extra Innings...  you just have to verify  your Directv account...THE IPAD APP IS AWESOME... the delay is less than 20 seconds from live and the features are unbelievable...

for whatever reason, Directv is not promoting this feature enough to those of us whose subscription automatically renews... SO.. any of you all who are buying Extra Innings.. go download the MLB At Bat application.. it is free and fantastic.

I started purchasing MLB.tv when I was traveling for work. It's great. If you buy the premium version you can choose which broadcast you watch.
