Immanuel 3-0 after holding off Chowchilla 28-20. First unbeaten start for IHS since 2005 season.

....that 2005 season saw Immanuel go undefeated and win the DIV title. They beat the Redskins at Tom Flores Stadium in Sanger. Last night Immanuel did an excellent job at taking away the outside. Chowchilla QB Drew Morris struggled with playing on varsity. Immanuel "should" have had 5-6 easy picks. Chowchilla made it interesting in the second half but the passing game was lack luster with Morris. Immanuel is a very physical team. Lots of flags and one ejection for the Eagles. Chowchilla now faces a fierce CVC team at their home next week.
On a bright note ....Chowchillas JV continues to roll. Lil Skin had a forced fumble and recovery to kill a drive. He opened holes all night for big gains. And on special teams he booted a nice KO that was fielded at the 1 yard line. The Eagle runner was hit as he fielded it ....fumbled it and was recovered for a TD. Chowchilla also had a blocked punt scoop and score. Immanuel JV has some monsters and will be tough in the next few years.
