D-1 Seeding

The consensus is that Buchanan is the 1 and Centennial the 2.  After that, seeds 3-5 get very interesting.  Madera, Clovis and Tulare Western will be seeded 3-5 in some fashion. Using the Section's seeding criteria of Head to Head, strength of schedule, overall record, record vs. common opponent, common tourney placement, record vs. playoff teams, and league record, I come up with:

Madera vs TW (even)
Clovis   vs  Madera (Clovis +3)

and the interesting one..........

Common opponent  Clovis(13-5 vs. 9-4) even

Hopefully I didn't miss anything here but apparently the Clovis vs. CW game is REALLY important for seedings.  A win tonight gives Clovis a point in both the record vs. Common and record vs. Playoff categories. I think with a win, Clovis is the #3 seed and TW the #4.  With a loss, TW is the #3 and Clovis the #4.  Using this criteria I think Madera is the #5 regardless of what happens tonight. However, there is enough ambiguity and flexibility between Clovis/TW that the CS can reasonably defend whatever they want to do.  Basically, if they want to lessen the odds of an All-TRAC final at Rawhide they will put Clovis at the #4 so they potentially meet Buchanan in the semi's(if they get there). It will be interesting to see how this all shakes out tomorrow.............

Tulare Western split wit CW early this year. I'm not sure if that'll play a big factor in seedings or not.

Good luck figuring this out after CW beat Clovis 2-1.......my bad for initially disregarding the Eagles for a top 5 seed and not bothering to look closely at their season.
