I think they should get whatever 3 parents complained about CP the most. (Who's kids are still playing of course) ... you know, the ones who wanted to tell everyone how the program wasn't being coached properly .... and let those three parents coach the team. Get them out there to take on Donald and James Patrick etc. Let's see how they do. After someone teaches them how to hit a fungo and when you hit and run .... they should be fine.
That's a GREAT idea !!  ;) But they just don't have time for it . They look at a Coach the same as they do the gardener or pool man that they hire - and that pool better be spotless  :o

They just to hire someone with experience. We have plenty of quality coaches in the central section.

parents are manageable. (yes even at CN)

NO - they are not right now. The cusd admin team will do what ever it takes to keep "public relations" right for them.& if an administrator gets "labeled" anti parent they will never get that cubical on the corner of Herndon & Sunnyside & be cursed to have to work forever (w/kids) at the sight level. What most of the people in this valley do not understand is that Coaching decisions at the top level are NOT decided  in the cusd by sight level admin"s, That's above there pay level. Herndon decides.

Any updates?

Been out of town, so perhaps there's been some news on the CN coaching front I've missed...but the only thing I've heard in the last 48 hours was confirmation of the long swirling rumor that soon to be junior Brock Jones is off to Buchanan...football and baseball standout..expected to stand out even more his junior and senior years.  Another big loss for the Broncos.

Old man scout

Put your money on Prieto from Central to be new coach.

Does anyone know who the candidates are/were?

I'm sure he would be a popular choice to the other TRAC coaches. Central has scored 56 runs in 30 TRAC games the last 2 years.

I heard 2 local & 2 out of town candidates were interviewed a few weeks back. CN still has some talent and would be a great landing spot for a good coach with solid assistants.

Jeff Prieto is the new director of sport.

I think they should reconsider the hire. He has a tendency to move from school to school. plus he is not a proven winner.

Not really... he did a good job at East before the unpleasantly Clovis parents ran him out. He then wisely went into the college game, grew some, and came back to Sunnyside. If anyone thought he was gonna stick around at Sunnyside for awhile they were kidding themselves. He took that step up to Central and then a step up to North now. He's not left really with another step up so I'd expect him to stick around as long as he is welcome. I played for Priteto during the summer years ago, and he is still one of the best baseball minds I've been around. A great hire for CN. Definitely the best candidate available.
